I don't see anything screaming fake, but it certainly does not look like it was recently cleaned by Rolex.

That crossed my mind as well , but as we all know that "recent" can be perceived quite differently as buyer or as seller ...

That would be important to have it posted when you sell a watch dont you agree?

...seller says the svc was about 1 year ago.

...seems like a nice enough fella and responsive to suggestions.

No excuse for pictures this poor. There should be many more photos, close up showing all of the important details such as clasp code. If these are the only pics he's offering, I'd pass.

I realize you are outside the U S The servicing jeweler is well known here in the US and an AD for Rolex Excellent reputation. Very above board and, they won't sell a pre-owned Rolex ! They are whom I go to. At least I know it will be my watch I get back from the svc cntr. Also, no worries when my s/o takes her jewelery in for re sizing or cleaning.

Have you looked at his other listings ? The seller is evidently in construction and may have received the watch as possible payment for work done. We shouldn't forget that not everyone that owns a Rolex is as into watches as we are. My late father is a classic example. As a radiologist, when developing x-rays, he'd reach into the dip tank for a film that had slipped from the hangers and not even think to remove his watch. I believe my late uncle, a jeweler, had a display of Rolex watches my dad destroyed in this manor.

I agree however it is important to have people on Ebay present a Rolex watch with what ever documentation to prove it is a Rolex without that and this forum the fakes would be running ramped and the forum makes the Rolex sellers step up to the plate.

i'm not buying the $9K appraisal business, and I don't understand why a date is not on the invoice from Rolex, USA. How would anyone know when the service warranty of one year starts and finishes? The watch looks genuine, but if it was serviced at rolex, the bracelet and crystal would look much better, and it is listed as having been done at no charge to the customer/owner of the watch. I remain suspicious, and would never buy this watch without an inspection, and more disclosure(s). Just IMHO, could be legit.

Futher inspection reveals that the paperwork is stating what the charges will be for a complete cleaning, hence no invoice number. I'm guessing that what is shown is more like a written estimate from Rolex to Jared that is passed on to the customer.
