I could think of better things to do with the excess gold and leave the DD in original state :-) different tastes I guess :-)

Actually, I'm not surprised. During the last oil/gas boom here in TX a watch band like that wasn't un-heard of. In fact, there are several high end re-sellers in the Dallas area that have watches like that in their display cases. Sellers feedback is cool except for the stroke that tried to bilk him on a car.
