Does your wife/gf/significant other half know which will be your next Roillie?

so.... the wifey saw me reading and posting TRF on the iPod touch last night (rolled her eyes) and mentioned something along the line what she knows what will be my next Rollie

so i looked at her weirdly and asked.... which one?

she then proudly said - that bright looking yatchmaster thing you liked

all im saying is - nope, she is nowhere close (this time anyway)

how about you?

My girlfriend don't understand why I will pay so much for a watch.

But she's starting to learn what a GMT, Sub and Milgauss is, and even starting to have her own favorite Rollies

But she knows how much I want a gold/steel sub. So I don't think she will be surprised if I one day came home with one

My Wife knows that I had my Eye on those Daytonas and TT GMT2c.
and I also knows that she's been quietly spotting those Daydates all along.

cool stuff! isnt it a much wonderful place when your significatnt other also enjoy your "hobby/addiction"?

having said that now, im still trying my best to get my wife over to the "dark side" from Omega.... (her way of putting it )

i have a feeling that a TT DJ w/ oyster bracelet would be her choice of first Rollie

My wife is so clueless she doesn't even know what my current watch is...

She referred to my Day Date as "the yellow one" and calls my sub "the silver one"

But she puts up with the madness, and what more can I ask?

I told a friend I was thinking of leaving my wife. He asked me for my reasons. I told him: "She hasn't spoken to me in 2 months''.

He replied: "You better think twice. Women like that are hard to find''.

To answer the OPs question - no, she has no idea.

yeah, wouldnt that be every men's dream?!?

this thread is not about being how manly one can be.... It is about if your significant other bothers to get involved in something you are interested in....... Whether he/she get the finer details is irrevalent.... ;-)

My wife is still amazed that such an expensive watch cannot tell the difference between a 28, 30 and 31 day month.

Due to my fascination, my wife can now usually spot and name any Rolex we see out in the wild. She knows the ins and outs of my collection and has been wanting a midsize Pt/SS YM ever since I got mine. Her 30th bday is coming up soon... she just may get that!

As to the ops question; yes my wife does know what I would LIKE my next Rolex to be. WG DD. She also knows that I want to get myself another Polar Exp II that I regrettably traded.

Probably not...but she has listened to my musings over a red Sub, matte triple 6, and an early '60s 1675. So, perhaps as much as I do??

My wife has patiently endured all my obsessions. :-) Guns, watches, motorcycles... Whenever I tell her I've finally got just the one I want and don't need any more, she just rolls her eyes and winks with that knowing look that says, "uhuh, sure... heard that before."

She's a wonderful woman, my wife.

No. Nor do I know what purse she will buy next. She's quickly adapted to the "I buy what I want and you buy what you want"

If she thought I was planning a new Rollie purchase, she would have the proverbial Cow.

I didn't think she knew I bought two last year...She did

In my case it's my husband and he hears me jabber all the time about the 'next' one! I know what he'd like to get as well and would be thrilled to see him get what he wants

I feel lucky...

Not only does she know, she's turning into a "she-wis". I sized down my 1680 on New Year's Eve and she's still wearing it! My next one will be soon, I hope, but it's gonna cost me one in my collection.
