14060m Submariner
Hey Guys,
There is a growing band of us experiencing the simple comfort of a very under rated watch.Just a couple more photos of a watch that I am liking more and more each day. If anyone has 14060/14060m photos please feel free to post in support. Aaron |

Here's mine... 14060 (non M)
The last two photos are pictures of the 14060 prior to being serviced by RSC in Toronto...

Being the noob that I am, I didn't ask to get a replacement tritium dial, instead I went for the newer super luminova dial.
I asked if RSC relumes but the didn't offer that service, besides they reported to me that the hands and dial had moisture damage. If I didn't replace those and just did the movement service, there will be no warranty.

Those are model numbers.
For all external appearances, they look the same....i.e. the no-date Sub you see pictured above. I think it was in the year 2000 that Rolex modified the 14060 model and came up with the new one - 14060M (M = Modified). The 14060 had 27 jewels and the calibre 3000 movement. The 14060M now has 31 jewels and the calibre 3130 movement. Cheers - JJ

Are you kidding? Aaron's review helped sway me back to the 14060M If I did a review, it couldn't even come close to this one

Man, back in 1989 on the verge of graduating from college my brother and I went together to an Atlanta AD and bought two Rolexes. I had a 1987 model Explorer I already and I wanted a Sub. So I bought a SS Sub/no date while my brother got the SS Sub with Date. I was never satisfied with the no-date though. I always felt like I cheated myself by getting the cheaper Sub version and not springing for the date feature.
I sold the Explorer for $1000 that year (1989) to a fraternity brother. In 1997 I sold that no-date Sub for a GMTII red/black. I wish now that I'd kept the Explorer I AND the no date Sub!

I just bought a Sub No date and really like it! The only thing I wish I could change is the bracelet. do not like the extension link, seems to rattle and make noise, besides will never probably use. All the diving I have done, have just worn a short sleeve wet suit. Really like the braclet on the Explore 1 that I have. I do like the simplicity of the Sub no Date. The cyclops date just seems to get in the way of the looking at exact time when near the 3 oclock posistion. Also, may not be true, but just seems to me, less moving parts = tough watch. very happy with the sub not date. Photos above look really nice! Been testing my new Sub no date out on the swimming pool here at the Le Royal raffles hotel in Phnom Penh. 1 week Hong Kong, now cambodia, and then back to Iraq next week. The Sub No date should get a good testing there!
