Rolex Warranty?
Sorry guys this might be a dumb question. Does Rolex warranty cover the bracelet? I am aware that Rolex will not service modified Rolex watches but does removing a permanent link in any way affect the warranty, future service, or bracelet trade in program? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for replying to my post. I was told that the work might have to be done by RSC themselves not to void warranty or future service. Has anyone that has removed a permanent link outside of RSC (DIY or jeweler) had a problem during service? Thanks again!

Please help guys! I know this post sucks but no AD in my area will touch my SD and I might have to remove the permanent link myself. By doing this will I be voiding warranty or jeopardizing any future service. Thanks in advance!

What's going on? Do you have such small wrists that you now have to remove permanent links to make the bracelet fit?
I'd sent it in to RSC or else get a leather strap. The only way RSC would void it is if whoever performed the job did such a crappy job that the RSC technician caught on to it, but this wouldn't void the warrantee for the rest of the watch, just the bracelet. An improperly adjusted bracelet link would have absolutely nothing to do with let's say, a regulation problem with the movement. Seeing as it's a new bracelet, if there's a defect in the permanent link, take the bracelet in and they'll replace it with a new one. They did so in the case of my SD4000. I bought the watch with a defective pin which was not allowing the bracelet to collapse/bend. The pin in effect was bent/warped. After a bit of a hassle with RSC, my AD sent it in and they just gave me a new bracelet. |
