give me some advice on this GMT please....
" The serial number of the watch reflects that the case has been replaced as Rolex assigns a new serial number "
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=280449659891 I have no idea what he is talking about.... I am in the market to buy a GMT, this guy is local, but I really don't understand what he is talking about. Even if everything is legit - the price is too high. Does this make sense to anyone? and doesn't the crystal seem to be sitting way too high? think some hack in Detroit just put together a GMT out of spare parts? |

It has a replacement case .... 'The serial number is 4,46x,xxx.' replaced by Rolex. 4.4 mil indicates replacement.
That is normal when the old case has lived a long full life. It decreases the value though so be aware of that. Collectors frown on replacement cases and the watch will always have that 'disclaimer'. Try to find one with more original parts. This one is overpriced. |
