SS Sub/LV Sub or SS Ceramic Sub?

HI all I'm in a dilemma now as to which Submariner to get. As I just received an Explorer II Polar for a gift last weekend, I was overjoyed and decided to add another SS to my collection and what do you all think my considerations should be based on?

I had wanted the SS Sub because it's a classic and icon in the ROlex line not to mention it's resaleability but my girlfriend thinks it looks like the SeaDweller and she's leaning towards the LV Sub as it goes well with my Ed Hardy shirts.

What do you all think? Would the LV Sub appreciate in value over the SS Sub or should I wait for the Ceramic Sub? Or base on the current collection that I have what would be a good addition? I am planning to head down to the AD this tuesday or wednesday.

sweet collection!

Can't go wrong with any rolex!
With the 2 you mentioned though, i m leaning towards the LV. But that's just my opinion. The ceramic sub, if it would really come out this year, would most likely hit the local ADs by june at the earliest. you may get one by end year or even next year.

Get what sings to you when you go to the AD! try on the watches you like and maybe a GMTIIC or DJII might catch your fancy!

Goodluck and do tell us what you decided to get

Also if the SS Sub were to cease production due to the introduction of the Ceramic Submariner, are they gonna stop production to the LV Submariner too???

Yes, the only the differences are cosmetic, if one goes, so does the other.

My vote is to wait for the ceramic, I think it's going to be hard to beat for the next 15-20 years

Seems like this subject has come up a few times recently, it's a tough call that I went through, I bought a SS Sub Date as God knows when the new Sub will be available in AD's and what price they are gonna go for.

Either wait for Sub C or pick up classic sub. If I were leaning towards an LV, I would embrace the green and wait for the Green Lantern version debuted at Basel this year.

LOL.... 2 days ago I visited local AD, and looked at the LV.... gorgeous... my wife told me she preferred green bezel rather than black sub.... the reasoning was I have GMT II c which is black already.... but when I tried the WG sub blue bezel... she was "ok, this one is the best".... wish i could afford one LOL...

This is going to be tough. I really like the blue lume on the new ceramic dial. I already have the LV so i decide whether the current Sub or the new ceramic Sub is what i really want. Might end up getting both, who knows.

If it's only going to be one the LV would be my choice. The only modern classic case with a maxi.

I am literally going through the exact same decision making process as you right now between the Sub LV vs the new Ceramic Sub. I still have no idea which one I like better, Id love to have them both but money doesnt allow it right now so I have to pick one and I am still unsure of which to pick.

I bought the LV Sub. I love this watch to the degree I am strongly thinking of buying another. Mike gave me the idea when I observed one of his awesome photos of the LV Sub with the black bezel next to the LV Sub Green bezel side by side in the same photo. Perfection.
