Guys, do you know if buying a Rolex in Dubai is cheaper? How much a new sub date will cost? Thanks a bunch!

Don't know--don't know if anything is cheaper in Dubai. All I know is being in their airport and seeing a Rolex AD---it was like being on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. The money that was in that place was crazy. $$$$.

As Ken pointed out, I don't think ANYTHING in Dubai is cheap... A fantastic and beautiful place, but not cheap...

I would expect that the exchange rate would keep things close to it's worldwide value.

About good prices, I just discovered a French on-line store, riviera watch, doing a good discount on the "official" French price. A Sub date cost 3900 euros and a sub no date 3450 euros. It's like 20% less than the Belgian price, but I don't know about import taxes for the US...
I heard that was a good site, they also have partner in some French cities where you can receive the watch if you don't like purchasing by mail. My understanding is they are non official Rolex agent, so they can buy watches at lower prices to various Swiss stores then put them on the market with an important discount without having problems with Rolex... |

When you are in Dubai, swing by 103 Road in Deira, there're alot of stores. There, you might find what you need.

Good luck in your purchase. Not sure if you get the best discount, but hope you will soon post pics of your new watch.
