Anyone made the blue or black TT Sub decision?
Never seen a black dial and bezel 16613 in person and I'm offered the opportunity to replace bluesy with new black/gold parts. Any experience out there with a side-by-side on-the-wrist comparison? I've seen the awesome pictures on this site, but suspect that pictures can't do the black TT justice. Your thoughts appreciated!

A buddy of mine had the Bluesy...I just picked up the Black Ceramic Sub...it looks hands down better IMHO...and that's not because of the blue shade of the new bluesy...or the fact that the new Subs have the changes that were introduced...I just really like the black/gold color schemes....
Some really like the blue though....and you don't find as many of those so maybe that is what draws people in as well... Just buy one..and then dig it!!

I may be the only black/gold 16613 wearer around my neck of the woods this weekend, but I like to be different. With bluesy, I almost felt like I had to explain the flamboyance (bling) while wearihg daily sleeves and necktie. I'll see how the black one FEELS and let you know with pics. BTW, the bluesy is an X series that I had 2 weeks before deciding to change the dial/ bezel and replace the crystal and hands. Thanks for your patience of 1st time owner and enthusiast. JJ , I love the look of the bluesy but can't deal with the attention.

It's really is a personal choice. Both will stand out because of the gold/SS combo.
I have an R serial Bluesy and I love the dial. It's looks good with jeans and a T-shirt or a tux. But that's just my view. Looking forward to seeing your pics.

Three months ago I went back and forth between a black 16613 and a blue 16613 and I settled on the black TT sub....I was certain that I made the right choice and I still love it....Only problem, I still think plenty about the bluesy. The only solution for me may be a second rolex in the near future (a new ceramic TT bluesy)...I can't wait to find out which gets more wrist time!

BINGO, Ed!
If i go black 16613 from blue, then next will be blue 116613 - or visa versa. Eventually we'll all aspire to be SUBSATISFIED!!!!!!!! |

Scott, how's my hometown of SA doing? I miss South Texas so bad. I recently purchased the new blue ceramic sub and find myself just starring at it. The blue has about 5 different shades depending on light. It is really a beautiful watch. Either way you go you'll be satisfied. Now go have a margarita at El Jarro's and tell Arthur hello for me.

The blue is my pick. Blue is my favorite color, and the black & yellow make me think of the Pittsburgh Pirates.
