Is TT coming back in style?

Just curious - in the last few meetings I have been in it appears that two tone watches are making a comeback. I saw a TT Sub, a TT Datejust, as well as a Rolex LV (obviously not TT).

Are gold and TT watches making a comeback? Granted I mostly see SS watches but I seem to be noticing more gold out there. I was never a gold guy but the TT is growing on me.

Don't know if it ever went out of style, but you're right about SS watches being the norm. That being said, I like TT on some models and have been seriously considering one for my next watch.

1990??

You have to admit that far more luxury watches sold over the past several years, especially in the United States, have been all SS cases. The gold watch kind of went out of style, IMO, at some point. Just an observation, not a judgment.

I never really thought alot about them myself until I picked up my first TT. It is a Tudor. Then I picked a TT Bluesy and found that it could go with casual wear just as well as formal.
Now I have got to get another SS because I did not realize I sold them all

i saw an article in esquire this month and it was just talkin about "styles" of clothes and watches and high end "must haves". They were saying that mens watches officially are going back to simple and scaling back on size. the behemoth watches are being phased out of fashion. Clean, simple, lines but still appreciating multiple complications. Thats why i love rolex. your watch is ALWAYS in style. TT, SS, Solid 18k or PLATTY

I'd be very happy to see that happening With my skinny wrist I cannot wear 44+ mm watches, so I'm "blocked out" from enjoying a lot of very nice "behemoth" pieces, e.g. Breitling Navitimer World.

Has anyone ever put a TT bracelet on a stainless watch head? I put a plated Jubilee clone on my speedmaster for a day to see and kinda liked the look.

Any pics? Maybe a TT Jube on a SS sub or SD? Don't shoot me!

If you've been noticing the TTs, it's just your brain preparing you for the inevitable - a TT purchase!

Something tells me your next Rolex won't be SS

Hopefully no one takes this the wrong way, but to me SS presents a sporty image more suited to "youth", while TT seems more indicative of "dignified maturity".

IMO it doesn't really matter if it's in or not. So long as it looks good on you. I know it looks good on me.

I think the extra cost involved in having a two toned model is a huge factor. There are some really nice models out there though.
