overwinding a president day date watch????

hi guys i have president day date and rarely wear it however as a course of habit last few weeks i wind it every night...

can you overwind a watch......??

how many full winds should u do if not wearing?

You cannot over wind your watch. You should have about 40-48 hours of power reserve. If you fully wind your watch every other day or maybe even every third day it should be ready to go.

40-50 turns will fully wind your watch.

I am not aware of you being able to overwind.
Mine is at home, but I used to wind it about 50 times every other night when not wearing it.

You cant overwind it unless the overwind prevention is broken.

It can not break because it will slip in the barrel.
