Ever buy back your watch?

You guys ever sell a watch, regret it and buy it back or buy the same exact thing to replace it?

It happens Jason,
I even Sold a watch to a dealer and then bought the watch back from a local guy in my town and it was the same watch and still had my hand writing on the box...

Haha. Makes me feel better.

And yes, Dalip, it was the DSSD. It's only been gone 4 days and I can barely sleep at night ;) The only reason I sold it was because I had a bunch of people I work with (who are twice my age) making comments on how I "must be a big shot" to be wearing that, which I don't understand because everyone I work with makes well into the 6 figures. It's not like we are a bunch of blue-collar warehouse workers (Hahaha. Sorry I had too.)

LOL! That's an awesome story - hope you at least got it back at a lower price than your original sale!

Same old same old

This all makes me feel better! I have bought, sold, bought, sold and bought the exact same watch before.

I once sold a Daytona and bought it back with my name on the original paperwork and didn't know it until it arrived on my door step.

The SAME Air-King.

I bought a 95/96 used from Air-King in 1999.

Sold it to a friend in 2002.

Bought it back from him when he needed money in 2005.

Sold it to another Coin Dealer I know in 2008.

A Pawn Broker friend called me 2 days after I sold it saying he needed a Rolex to sell a customer of his, I bought it back from the dealer I sold it to for 250.00 over what he paid me 2 days before, and I sold it for another 250.00 over to the pawn broker.

His customer got short on money and sold it back to me in Dec 2009.

I currently have the Air-King for the 4th time.

Wanna buy it??

-Eddie

I actually sold an AP Royal Oak back in 2006 and I found it online a couple years later being sold by the dealer that bought it from me. I had to almost pay double for it but it made sense as it was my original watch.

I'm afraid of selling my watches as it will be hard to find one in my same condition.

Oh yeah. I sold a PAM once, shipped it overnight and bought it back from the guy before he even received it!

The wife was a bit hurt since I had bought it on our honeymoon so I explained to him and gave him shipping $$ and $100 for his trouble. Nice guy.

I traded an X-serial SeaDweller once. I missed it so bad that I bought another SeaDweller back almost immediately. I have bought 2 more SeaDwellers since, and now have 3
