Submariner 14060M Price?

I am on the verge of purchasing a a Submariner 14060M F Series (2005) non-COSC for $3,000.

The watch is about 90%, so minor nicks and scratches but I was wondering if this was a good price?

Is the price fair? good? excellent? should i try to negotiate some more?

Thanks guys...sorry if this isnt the right forum for this question

I think that's a fair price. Nothing spectacular but fair. There are several out there within that price range.

It's fair. Buy if it is something you want.

That's in the fair price range. You may want to search the For Sales section and see what series, condition and accessories have been offered for.

If it is a complete package with box, papers, tag, etc, then I would say it sounds like a reasonable price.

I wouldn't pay 3k. They can be had in great condition for 2.5k and up. That said its not a bad deal if you want it now.

I Agree.

I researched 14060 pricing alot prior to buying an A serial 1 month ago.
I found a tight price range of $2500 for A serials in decent cond w/o papers up to $3300 for exc cond w/ papers Z serials. Price varies within that range according to age, cond, papers and seller.

If you can get it for $2800 w/ papers that is a smoking great deal - so long as you trust the seller - $3000 is still A OK.
You will love the watch

Hmmm, I would buy for 3k, but simply because I love the 14060. I think that 2.7k is the best price you can get though in my opinion.

One sellers Excellent is another Sellers Good. Beware.

A seller like Lawrence B is very conservative. My "Excellent" Sub was basically Mint.

Good to get feedback from other buyers re: the sellers accuracy.

You might do a little better ($100-$300 maybe), but when you spread the cost over 20 years or more, it's insignificant compared to picking the right watch for yourself. If you make a slightly better deal but get the wrong watch, it's worse.

$3,000 is a decent deal, and you shouldn't expect to do a whole lot better.

No it's about 2006 production, probably purchased in 2007.

That seller has a good rep as far as I remember.

He lives in Charlotte so if he rips you off, I can go knock on his door for you.

I've seen him selling on TZ for a long time. He is legit but ask for references.

There was an F on WUS, but the seller had 1 out of focus picture and one 1/2 decent picture... both were of the face-- none of bracelet. and he was asking $3100

was that one one you were looking at? I passed on that one.

DVDA.

In my opinion, $3000 is a "decent" price for an F-serial 14060 non-COSC. As others have said here, you will probably be able to find a deal that's better by maybe a few hundred bucks, it all just depends on how much time and effort you want to put into it.

If you've found a specific watch that you like, from a buyer that you're comfortable with, I would say go ahead and buy it, and don't look back or regret spending $200 more than someone else might have spent, because in the long run, it's not worth it!

On the other hand, if you're just price shopping for now and haven't settled on a specific watch and/or buyer, you might want to spend a little bit more time looking around.

The main question is, how much value do you place in finding the deal of the century versus the convenience of finding something quickly and pulling the trigger on it for at least a reasonable price.

For what it's worth, I bought a Z-serial 14060M COSC here on TRF that was 9 months old and about 98-99% for $3,400.

Best of luck!

Doug

thats a decent deal if you trust the seller and the boxes and papers are there. dont forget you can easily rebrush the bracelet if that is where the scratches are. my favorite watch by far! you wont regret it and for what you are buying it for you can easily resell it for 2700-2800 i would think.

paid $4300 tax in for a Z in 2008 from a AD , $2500 - $3000 sounds fair to me , that is unless you want to buy mine , then it's priceless

:-)
