How about a pic of your "GRAIL" watch?

Greetings all,

OK forget about bling (man I hate that word!) lets see a pic of your ultimate grail watch whether you actually own it or just have been dreaming and/or lusting after it... I would love to own one of these beauties one day! Since my family background is Portuguese as well this baby has always been special to me, now all I need is 15 LARGE!

It is a 42mm IWC Portuguese Perpetual, Ref: 5022-13 running on the 51610 8-day power reserve, 64-jewel movement. The moon phase doesn’t need adjusting for the next 577 years. The piece is quite thick - a bit over 15mm.

The IWC strap is beautiful and it comes on a 18kt PG single deployant. You can’t get past the beauty of the signature Feuille hands. They are the highlight of Portugueser elegance.

JJ your the only reason I want a blue TT sub lol. You are the biggest sub chearleader ever. Before TRF I wouldn't even look at them, now I have to have one. It may be watch #3 in my collection. Your Sub is beautiful JJ, and he couldn't have found a more worthy owner.

J.J., I think your raggedy old blue SS Sub has dandruff.

Real man BLACK TT Subs don't have that problem.

The Blue TT Sub is my grail watch, for several reasons.

Its,in my opinion, one of the nicest designs in the Rolex collection of beauties. Its also in the price range that I can afford.I can buy more expensive, but affording and buying is not the same, unfortuanately ... This is the Rolex that I have yearned for,for many years. At the age of 38,finally got it.It that regard,I am fortuanate, because most people in the world, will never have the means to afford such luxury. All of us on this forum can count our blessings,in this regard. Also,to yearn for something and then getting it,also makes you appreciate it more ... Just the way it is.I enjoyed my,nearly 6 years with my ss GMT II red/black ,immensely.Got a kick out of it,every single day,I wore it.It has passed on to other hands and I hope it brings the new owner, the same joy as it did for me ...

Other "Grail" watches, for different reasons,in the Rolex collection are :
ss DJ/TT DJ
ss Sub/Date
Explorer I
President DD

I have a few that I like. Realisticly, it's the Plat/SS YM. Just something about this watch that does it for me. It sits on the wrist mice and IMO, it's a beauty.

I really like the Lange 1 but it's out of my reach

As far as vintage goes, it would have to be one of these or a DRSD. BTW, none of these pics are mine.

How much does the tree-hugger Rolex go for nowadays?
