This seems strange
Something doesn't seem right about this auction for a SS DJ with "tuxedo" dial? What do you guys think?

They usually add aftermarket pieces to watches to dress or clean them up. Most times the parts Rolex on the movement.

I would want to know what is original and what is not; are the numbers present between the lugs. If you just want a Rolex this may be fine but not for the price; if it is all original with all numbers in tact it is worth it.
With eBay it is not just black and white there are many shades of gray. Being a "Top Seller" means nothing. |

I think the watch is obviously not an original Rolex item, but may run just fine. I'd want to know what has been changed on the watch before any purchase. It looks good, but not a true Rolex. I wish Rolex made that, but they didn't, and the item should be listed correctly.

I believe
It is a 16220 with a 116200 dial.
It seems to be all ok. The lug widh is a typo mistake In the Q/A there is a question about the typenumber Jacl |

I agree with Jackxv. I think it's all rolex - a newer dial on an older watch - The only strange thing is how much I want that watch now!
I think it's a pretty fair price for what it is! |

I've always wanted a Datejust with tuxedo dial but I'd rather have the dial on the original watch. I definitely won't be buying this watch especially since I already have two Datejusts in my current collection and can't justify purchasing a Franken-Date.

Sold
It was sold, I think it was a steal.
The dial alone is about $400. $1650 for a saphire DJ on a good bracelet is a bargain Jack |
