Your wisdom wanted, please....

Hello chaps,

I've been thinking for a while of getting a Rolex. I've always rather wanted a Sub. I think I'd keep that a long time. I'll wait to see if there's a new one at Basel.

However, being easily distracted and getting easily bored, I often find myself wanting something new. I wouldn't want to get rid of the sub, but I could imagine buying a GMT or Daytona (or a Navitimer or Planet Ocean, for that matter) just for a couple of years and moving on to something else.

I've never bought a watch anywhere other than an authorized dealer, so I'm curious as to how you all buy and sell on the grey market? Do you use dealers as middlemen, or do you buy and sell direct?

I have quite a few other questions on the matter, but I'm guessing you'll all anticipate them better than I can phrase them anyway, so if any of you fancy sharing your wisdom/experience, many thanks in advance....

Personally, I would not buy from AD again and prefer dealing with trusted sellers here on TRF.

BTW welcome to TRF

I recently purchased my GMTII Pepsi "M" from a fellow TRF member. Guess what...I'd do it again! Remember...buy the seller.
Happy hunting.

Buy from a friend and you'll be happier.
