I have a sd and a newly aquired gmt IIc. I mention the gmt because the weight and proportions are similarto the new sub. The sd sits a little high on the wrist and although the overall weight approx 145g is about the same as the new sub most of that weight is just the watch head. So I guess it would be the new sub for me.

I just sold my SD and bought the GMT-IIC - best choice I have ever made.

since the new SUB is so similar to the GMT-IIC - I would go with it over the SD for sure.

Well have two SDs so dont need a new one and not a fan of the block case or ceramic insert on the new sub. But would like a maxi dial but without the tiny gold surround markers..

I just purchased a never-worn Sea Dweller from Steve Mulholland in February, and it has become my favorite watch. It's a classic, they aren't making any new ones and it's a proven favorite with a huge base of loyal owners. If the new ceramic Sub can one day say the same, I'll buy one then. Until then, my 1992 two-tone Sub remains my one and only.

SD all the way. I'm not a fan of the new ceramic trend, although I wouldn't throw a GMT IIc in the river if it was given to me. :-)

Hard to say. The SD I have is my all time favourite, but I never tried the new Sub on my wrist so... Maybe.

The new Sub LOOKS damn good though. And if Subs new bracelet is like Milgauss one, then it will be a major improvement.

Why did Rolex decide to go with a Ceramic Bezel on the new submariner?

Acquired a new SD this past year and I love it. My first Rolex and first sports watch. I haven't seen the new sub in person so until then I'll have to say SD.

You will be able to buy the new Sub c for the next 20 years, go for the Sea Dweller now and pick up the Sub c in a couple of years. I would buy the green sub. But I already have a SD and a vintage GMT. (both black dials) The Sub I like the most is still the 18Kt Bluesy with lug holes. Had one sold it and will have one again. But collecting watches is a true sickness!
