Ronald Reagan wore Rolex? I don't think we've talked about that before!

Look closely at what appears to be a Jubilee dial and Rolex crown on the clasp. He seemed to always wear his watches with the dials facing the inner wrist:

The last time we had 10% unemployment was under Reagen. Get your facts straight and why is this on a watch thread? =) Maverick

No politics, just the picture of the former president wearing a Rolex. I think it's SS myself

Thanks robbonds, but let's not make this political.

Thanks for the picture...that is awesome!!

Obviously a Datejust or DayDate

Experts may be able to look at the clasp to see the age range of the watch.

Thanks for the picture of a great American President. I met him when he was Governor of California, I don't recall the watch he was wearing, but it was a very pleasant chat.

Agreed, likely a SS Datejust.

Thanks for the pic! I notice more oldtimers wearing the watch inward. I guess it is more comfortable when checking the time, but not the norm. Most of the Rolex guys from the Korean war era seem to like that. Was RR one of the people they copy, or was it just a trend?

Perhaps they wore it inwards so the sun wouldn't reflect off it and give away their position to a sniper.
