I've got the gmt IIc and have the pcl bracelet. I don't have any scratches but the little ones on the clasp and they don't bother me. I have had mine since september and was careful at first but now just enjoy the watch. It will take a little while but eventually you will just enjoy your watch and not care about the scratches. Neil

Try a little West Marine Metal Polish on a Q-Tip and lightly polish your PCL's. After wiping them off, rinse with some soapy water for a nice "like new" shine.

Excellent!!
LOVE my watch thanks Gary mate & being totally honest....... scratched (scuffed?) the PCL on my clasp within maybe twenty minutes of wrist time & wanted to cry.... but then I realised I'd done it simply 'desk-diving' & gave up worrying about it!!

Does the polished stainless steel on the DJ II scratch less readily than the 18k yellow gold on the TT DJ II?
In general, does YG scratch significantly easier than polished SS? |

Sure. Since gold is a lot softer metal than stainless steel. That's why I was toying with the idea of getting a TT GMT IIC head with a SS GMT IIC bracelet. Weird combo, I know, but a lot less prone to scratches. But then I gave up, mostly because I don't wanna own a frankenRolex.

enjoy the watch. I've got them on my Daytona, DJ, Milgauss.....you name it. Just means I am and had enjoyed them and made those marks in the process to prove that

I wanted to get a TT GMT IIC, but I was told polished gold PCL is a scratch magnet. I hate scratches, so I'll stick to SS.
You should either accept the fact that gold PCL will not stay scratch free for a day, or flip the watch for a SS. If I already had a TT watch, I think I'd opt for getting used to the scratches instead of flipping it. |

I'm afraid that there isn't much you can do about the links getting scratched...
Eventually they will cover everything in a uniform manner.. I've found that if you continually polish them, they will always bother you..........
