Did I damage my mechanical watch???

I just received my sea-gull m192s mechanical watch. I'm a relative newbie to the watch world. This is my first mechanical self winding watch. My other watch is my tt sub which I have no problem winding. In my excitement in getting this watch I began winding the crown about 20 clockwise turns until I felt a lot of resistance, almost impossible to turn. No movement at all fro the hands. I attempted to turn it a bit more but was unsuccessful. I was unaware that I needed to press the 2 o clock button for the chronograph in order for the hands to move. I turned the crown counterclockwise which felt more like the winding of my rolex. Eventually I was educated as to how to get the hands moving. My question is even though this is a relatively inexpensive timepiece have I done any damage? The watch is working fine and keeping good time. Would the damage be noticible now? Such as a damaged mainspring? Thanks in advance forum members for your insight.

I think if the watch and all its functions are working fine you have no problem.
