Not to jack the thread, but I discovered Veraet cleaner.
After a round of weed whacking. After Veraet... It great stuff and the sample bottles are cheap. I did a write up on the stuff at http://www.minus4plus6.com/cool.htm#veraet This stuff wont save the watch after being dragged from the back of a car (my answer in the poll), but it is better that some of the other cleaning methods I have heard others share.. -Sheldon

Great stuff. I use it on my watches as well as on my laptop aluminum/stainless case.. -Sheldon

I would suggest sending it to JJ, but the hoof scufs would be another issue all together.
I think the belt sander would remove any surface defects, and those pesky fingerprints! |
