Something stinks is right, great catch Marie......

He does not have this watch at all, this is an outright scam.

It is a stolen listing from here

http://cgi.ebay.com/Men-Rolex-Platin...ht_6209wt_1091

The one bid they have for $50k is almost certainly a schill (fake) bid as its from a 0 feedback bidder.

The can is definitely calling for this one.......

That happens to be extremely close to the grail watch on my lust list... so when I saw the listing with his lack of history and the rest of the bs he had going on... I knew something wasn't right.

Do any of these zero-feedback sellers actually receive a wire for $55,000 for an auction using stolen photos? I can't imagine a buyer being that stupid.

It is pretty frightening to see how close some of these fakes really are. There are some really organized bad guys out there. There are also some really ridiculously stupid scammers, some that are so bad they are amusing. I have learned so much, but am probably more cynical as a result.

If there is even a small role I can play to try to get some of this crap taken down, I'm doing it.

I'm great JJ.... I am enjoying TRF entirely TOO much!

I saw your April fools joke.... I replied.

Yesterday I did little looking around the internet with you in mind... I have a whole folder on my desktop just for you.

Thank you for making it such a fun place! I need the laughter and the smiles... never too much of that in life-right?

It doesn't work with cars or real estate as eBay permits/encourges a buyer to inspect the item before paying.

I have seen it work with high end bicycles though. A low feedback seller uses a stock picture of an $8,000.00 bike and offers it for a low reserve of $3,500.00.
