Looking for good AD in Canada
Hi I am new to this forum and am looking for good Rolex and Omega AD in Canada with good service and pricing. I have three vintage watches that need service.
Thanks |

Not sure where you live but Damiani Jewellers in Woodbridge (north of Toronto) has an inhouse Rolex authorized watchsmith. I haven't used him but they also have a good sales experience.

Damiani's for sure they are an excellent AD and we have bought a Rolex there in the past. Service is very professional and watchmaker is fully authorized by Rolex. I know several members have bought fom there here on TRF...

It depends on your priority and where you are. Damiani has an excellent on site service set up. So if servicing your existing watch is your priority then they're a good choice. If price on a new watch is your priority then there are a couple of small market AD's that will offer up a 25% discount without having to negotiate. Also keep in mind that all AD's can offer excellent service for your vintage Rolex it just might not happen on site.

Humbertown in the westend of Toronto has always been good to me. They are an AD for both Rolex and Omega, among many other high end brands.

Damiani for service work, their watchmaker is very good from what I hear. They are also competitively priced on Rolex.

Thanks for all the information . Really I am looking for both a good service centre as well as a AD with good prices as I am looking for a current serial number GMT IIc in SS. I live in Alberta and am regularly in both Calgary and Edmonton, although I travel through out the country and could just a easily buy from TO area. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Thanks |

I bought my GMTIIC there a few weeks ago. I also bought our wedding rings and an Omega Constellation for my wife a few years ago. I got a good deal there and find the service to be great.

If you're in the National Capital, I recommend Howard's at Bank and Sparks.
They have an on-site, Rolex-certified watchsmith. Very nice and professional people. |

In Toronto, Rolex on St. Clair will service your Rolex watches, and I believe Royal De Versailles on Bloor Street, downtown will take care of both. Good luck.

If anyone is up in the Collingwood area you should check out D.C. Taylor Jewellers.
I shopped Diamani, Humbertown and Royal De Versailles but ended up buying from D.C. Taylor. Very friendly small town approach to sales. I think they send their watches to RSC in Toronto for service (although so does Royal De Versailles... the sales woman there said they won't open the back of a watch as this is only done back at RSC). Diamani does have a very good watchmaker but the price quoted for a 5 year service on my watch was significantly higher than RSC... |

I didn't say anything... I just decided when it was time to do it I would use RSC.

CG Watches in Queen street east. The owner Boots del Rosario has been servicing my watches (Rolex and Omega) and has been great. Some well known ADs in the area gets their watches serviced by him (can't mention who). His number is (416) 367-5012

I can certainly confirm that the Rolex watch tech at Damiani (Chonger) is one of the best in the GTA, and this includes the watchmaker that services the watches at Rolex Canada.
If your timepiece is vintage then Rolex Canada will decline servicing the watch, I'd check ahead of time to confirm this. I know that Chonger at Damiani will tell you straight up if there are any complications in having your timepieces serviced. |

Bought my first Rolex two weeks ago at Royal de Versailles (so-so experience).
I caught the bug and am considering a second. I went to Damiani today and they were great - very knowledgeable - discount offered was reasonable. Even though he knew I have a stainless steel budget, he very willingly brought out the gold Day Dates and Daytonas (practically insisted) for me to see and try on. Unless I find a great deal on TRF, I'll go to Damiani for my next purchase. Last edited by cedargrove; 5 January 2011 at 07:26 AM.. Reason: spelling |

Looking for AD in Canada
If you visit Vancouver, the best place to go is the German Watchmaker. He has been around for a long time and gives excellent service and not as expensive as some places.
His phone is #604-681-5412 Address: 1208 Homer Street Vancouver, B.C. V6B 2Y5 |

I had a really good experience with Damiani Jewellers too. I bought my Sub-date there. They were terrific about discussing the pros and cons of the new Ceramic Subs versus the old Sub-date. Whenever I've visited them, it's often fairly busy. However, they've always been really patient and they gave a fairly good discount. I've also heard terrific things about their watchmaker.
