Any info would help
OK I have been wondering this for YEARS, and I just thought about asking the experts, which I should of done a while ago. Well I just got back from a dinner with my pops (asking for help from him for an issue that happened to me with my now ex gf etc.)
Lets get down to this. Alright my dad has a Rolex, he got it back in 97 or 98 in Vienna, Austria. His is a TT with a gold face gold bezel (smooth) it is maybe a 36mm (not sure) and no date. I havent noticed what it says on the dial. Its sorta like an Air King but TT with a simple face and markers (no numbers, just the markers). I will try to get a picture of it. What is even more curious is that the AD he bought it from offered to make him a ring (which he has) the ring is made up of smaller jubilee style links in TT. Anyone heard of this? Other than the RADO Sintra that I have I also have a DiaStar and RADO offered to make me a ring made out of links as well. But to be honest I have never seen a Rolex like his anywhere else or the ring he has. I am gonna post a pic of my Rado DiaStar and my ring that RADO made for me in a short while. Any info or knowledge regarding my dads Rolex or the ring? |

As you can see the ring goes along with the bracelet of my RADO DiaStar. When I bought my RADO back in 2006 the AD offered to make the ring for me from links (I dont know from where because there is no ladies RADO watch with such small links to form a bracelet) Like my pops TT jubilee looking ring. The ring is made up of smaller jubilee style links, too small to be from a ladies Rolex jubilee band.

Regarding the ring, you say it's made up of Jubilee links......but that's not correct 'cause the Jubilee bracelet has FIVE links abreast - not 3 as in your picture.
That ring looks more like it's made up from some President bracelet which would make it in all possibility WHITE GOLD or PLATINUM only.....since the President bracelet comes in PRECIOUS metals only. If that ring is STEEL, then it's a fake!! Cheers - JJ

I believe the question is misunderstood. The ring shown here is steel that RADO made for me. The ring my pops has which I will get a hold of to take pics of is like the jubilee. I am wondering if anyone has heard of watches making rings out of links.
