Rolex Case Help
Hello I am a new member, I have a vintage Rolex Oysterdate from the 1970s brought some time ago and have just purchased this silver case (from ebay, it cost £27). I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what movement would need to be put back into it? Any help would be wonderful as I intend to either restore it myself or get it restored (if its to complicated).
The auction stated: Date: 1901 Monogrammed on the back and dated as a gift 1928 No winder Original glass Measures: 1+1/2 inches overall length. Face is 1 inch in diameter Light surface scratching. |

Welcome. That appears to me to look more like a bubbleback from much earlier, it is certainly not an oysterdate from the 70's. Sorry.

Hi Scott and Sam, thanks for trying anyway. Oh and just to clarify because I didnt make myself clear, Ive also got an oysterdate from the 1970s. ( plus a couple of omegas, I love vintage watches), with this case I was trying to get my 2nd Rolex. So the general opinion so far is that it is possible an bubbleback?
