Keep the no date Suhb, or flip it?

Was it ever determined in Basel if the 14060M will continue once the new Sub comes out? I'm struggling on whether to keep my 14060 U Serial No date. If it's going to be discontinued, I'd probably me more likely to keep it. The fact is the GMTIIc and even the new Sub are really singing to me, I love the Super case. So I'm considering flipping. I love my Sub, but I really do miss the date function. I'm even starting to fall for the TT look which never really appealed to me as a younger man. Now I appreciate the casual elegance of the gold and SS together.

Hard call really. But since you already have a GMT with date, I'd hold on to the no date Sub for the different look at least until you can "see and feel" the new Sub. And if you fall in love with the new one, trade it in or get a GMTIIC. jmho

I think you should only keep a watch if you truly love it, not based on whether it'll be discontinued or not. If the IIc is calling and you're convinced that it will get more wrist time, then I would think flipping your ND is a good move. JMHO.

Oh, and I may be wrong but I think I remember hearing that the 14060M would be continuing even after the new sub arrives.

As I understand it, it continues to be a regular production reference.

I know that some folks think the high end Daytonas and the Day-Date will always be the flagship models for Rolex. Others recommend the Explorer II as the watch to keep. I believe, and I am biased, that the no-date Sub, looking much like it did fifty years ago, will be the face of Rolex 50 years from now.

If you think the No Date is no longer smiling back, I'd flip it. I agree with prev. posts; don't use production as your decision-making factor...you may regret it.
Good luck!
