Bracelet sizing question

Hi guys

I have a newly acquired GMT-IIc and have been playing a little with the bracelet.

I have removed 2 links from the 12 o'clock and 1 link frmo the 6 o'clock side. This is a little tight with the middle adjustment hole, so I have to use the easylink to get a half size, which is then perfect.

So I can:

1) move to the larger adjustment hole, and put the easy link back in (save it for a time when wrist swells)

OR

2) put ONE 12 o'clock link back in, and then move to the smallest adjustment hole

Technically are they both give the same size?
And what is better?
