Authenticity Check on a Datejust

I was hoping to get a little help with this watch as I've never owned one before. Does this one look legit? Thanks in advance.

Ross, I don't have any TT watches....but I do know that no SS watch cases have any markings on them other than the serial and model ref between the lugs....this looks like it has at least two, maybe three markings on the back of the case lugs.....someone with a TT datejust will be able to firm that up, but that looks suss to me....the dial looks ok.....but those markings ring alarm bells for me.....maybe a TT thing....I have been wrong before

There is absolutely know way to be certain without opening the back and examining the movement. The fakes are extremely accurate visually. You have to open the case and know what a Rolex movement looks like because even the fakes have ROLEX engraved on the rotors, etc.

Sorry......... those photos aren't really good enough to tell for sure..

There are some issues, (diamonds/settings, case markings, font). But, nothing that can be verified at this time.........

Sorry, but the bezel looks to wide. I hope I'm wrong. and the date font may be a little too thin

EDIT: No need for extra pictures. It is indeed fake. Look at the "18k" and "750" markings and hallmarks on the back of the watch case. This watch is clearly SS, so those marking are bogus.

Sorry pal, but I can confidentially say that this watch is 100% fake.

Here is a great way to determine if its genuine. hold the watch close to your ear a tap in on the side to get the rotor spinning. A real Rolex will be completely motionless(no vibrations) and completely silent. This is due to the Rolex rotor being mounted on a jeweled sleeve as well as bi-directional winding. Even good fakes use up to a medium grade ball bearing ETA movement.
This one is probably one of the most copied versions out there and you need to be honest with your self on how much it is and who offered it to you.Remember the thing about Rolexes is the seller is trying to get as much money for them as possible, and not trying to unload one. Don't trust a word from the seller if its just "a guy" instead of some sort of dealer.
BTW the magnification doesn't quite right (2.5) from your pic.

Definetely fake, bezel is too thick, hands are too thin, Date font and mag are wrong. Check the mid links, they will be steel at the sides meaning it is plated and not solid gold.

Something else I just noticed....on this type of dial, without rails (train track type marking all around the dial)....the corronet usually goes up to almost the top of the dial.....my 2 SS DateJusts are attached.....the silver one is what I mean...the black one has rails and the corronet is in a different location, i.e. below the rails.....this TT DateJust is a non-rails so why is the corronet so low?

Bill is 100% right on that one . These fakers obviously use the same cases for the gold plated "18K" ones as for the SS case & TT models . I too see clearly the fake gold hallmarks/ stamps that shouldn't be there on that model .
But then again you may all know that better then we do , and this is another TRF "test drive "
I'm surprised that Larry didn't move this to " watch out " in the first place .

There's also a green hologram.....did they not stop using this before the Super Jubilee came out? That's definitely 'supposed' to be a SJ....in the pictures

That crossed my mind too , but I'm not 100% sure . I believe the holograms stopped around 2005/6 . Not sure when the Super jubs were first out . One could of course argue that the bracelet was added at a later stage .... sure !

The dial is wrong for a 116233, notice the lume dots by the diamonds. The current diamond dials don't have any lume on them

The hallmarks are a red flag, the band is a add on. The dial is another red flag. You should skip buying this parts watch if it is a Rolex and buy a Rolex that is 100% complete from when it left the factory.
