Watch 2 of 2 has arrived!

Finally the Daytona has arrived..

I must say that it looks wonderful, it really does!

But as a big Breitlig fan, i must say that i am EXTREMELY dissapointed with the feeling of the watch. The bracelet makes whistely noices when it moves, its not any where close to well done as any Breitling i have ever owned or tried..The Daytona feels Cheap, but looks expensive.

Its like comparing an Audi to an volkswagen...where the Rolex is volswagen.
This feeling sucks..but i hope ill get over it.

As a bonus the AD needed to shorten down the bracelet with 1 link, and he took it from the6o clock side which makes the whole watch unbalanced.

I have 6 links on the 12oclock side and 4 on the 6oclock side.
Worst 10 hour drive EVER!

Will post pics later..:(

The pics..

Please look at the soloshot of the daytona on the side.

This bracelet setup has to be wrong? 4 links on one side and 6,5 on the other side.

You are criticizing the DAYTONA!? Comparing it unfavorably to a BREITLING??

You CANNOT be serious! The Daytona IS what it IS. And NOBODY disses it.

Btw, I always swap at least one link from the 6:00 side to the 12:00 side, keeps the watch toward the thumb side of the wrist, easier to see it.

Congrats on your watch!

5 links at 6 o'clock and 6 links at 12 o'clock for all my watches except the SS Daytona and SDDS, which are 4 links at 6 o'clokc and 6 links at 12 o'clock.

You'll get used to the squeaky bracelet. If you think OEM SS is squeaky wait till you get a DLC blacked out one, ha, ha, ha.

Thank you mystic honk kong man!

Hmm Dannyny..Why did both of our ADs do the same adjustment?
And now 2 of the pro TRFers tells us that this is the right setup..

What should we do?

Can't help you like the watch, but if you hop in the shower (watch on) and soap up, the watch will quit squeaking! It is a cool watch, hope you grow to like it more.

That watch is totally cool. In homage to your day, I'm going in the safe right now, taking off my PAM and going for my white faced Daytona. Congratulations!

PS: I've owned Breitlings and didn't quite follow the comparison. I'm going to listen for "whistely noises".

It's interesting you compared the feel of a breitling to rolex as I had a similar experience. I have a superocean heritage chronos and when I tried on the daytona, it felt a bit "light" for me. In any case, I passed on it (I also couldn't afford it)....However, when I put on an LV, I JUST ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

Congrats on the Daytona!

Regarding the bracelet, it's a matter of comfort. On my watches I prefer less links on the 6 o'clock side. No right or wrong, whatever works and fits the best.

Martin, I'm glad you got your Daytona...as for how many links on each side how does it feel on your wrist with the current configuration? If it feels comfortable why change it!!!
