Hey out of curiosity, would it be possible to pick up an extremely used (almost trashed) GMT II and restore it cheaply? I sold mine recently to fun a different purchase (mistake) and now I LONG for it back!

Maybe you could search watch makers/repair shops and find a project watch on the cheap - then would need access to reasonably priced parts and service. Re market prices - I never see any age of GMT on the forums for less than $3,000.
Good luck!

So can anyone enlighten me on the jubilee bracelet on the GMT II? Was it an option? If so can you just get one from rolex or aftermarket and just exchange them at will? Looks fantastic, and so does the oyster

Something about Panosi's shot really struck me, though....It's so very easy to project myself in the image, wearing that wonderful piece. A great pic and a fantastic watch.

Thank you.

Does anyone know why they made two different colours..Any technical reason or was it purely for aesthetics.
