I always saw it in pictures and post here but they don't do it justice, gotta see it in person. I stopped by a Rolex AD just to see the Deep Sea in real life and that's all it takes. Something about the Cerachom bezel and the thick crystal and the silver ring around it just pops up and tell me GET ME GET ME! Original plan was to get it in about 1-2 years but I got within a month, it's just that irresistable.

We each have a watch that has that affect on us. Unfortunately I don't see the draw of the DeepSea. It is way too big for me but I understand the draw of a specific watch. I have a few that have the same affect on me as well.

1) I saw the DEEPSEA tonight. 2) It was BIG, Beautiful and Comfortable. 3) I made a choice to buy it after a couple more overtime shifts. 4) I cant wait for a couple more overtime shifts and since I am in need for a DIVE watch, I bought the Orange Monster tonight so I can get used to the size. 5) I will soon BUY THAT DeepSea and will be curious on the next LOVE. I felt the same way when I tried one on...blown away. Gorgeous watch....huge.
If the Ceramic Sub doesn't move me...then I'll be buying a DSSD. |

I saw one today that a guy just purchased a week ago. He said the weight bothered him but he might be getting used to it. He's a diver with good sized arms and wrists and the watch looked good from the top. From the side it's waaaaay thick. I'm convinced more than ever that he DSSD is not for me, but the the glide-lock clasp is quite nice.

My buddy just bought one last week, its a phenominal looking watch. Cool features, excellent clasp, good style....its just too big for my taste. I love it, just too big for me to wear, Ill stick to my GMT.

Hi I am not too familiar with Brookfield but my hotel is close to a mall so I ate at Flemings and then walked to the Brookfield Mall. Inside there was an Oostermans. They had a nice collection of Rolexes, however they do not ship and their discount was not to good. They would have sold the DS for $8375 plus tax (5%)..My AD can do much better than that. Nonetheless, That watch just looked GR8 and felt good!
Hope that helped. CZ |

Hope you get used to the massive weight (215 grams) and whopping thickness of 18 mm soon enough, Al!!

I think Dr. Robert already gave me that prognosis
He said the right medicine was to keep on buying Rolexes I really like this sickness and I love my support group (TRF) but I find, people are looking at me in a STRANGE way and not to mention, my wife is getting concerned with my desire to work more CZ |
