Now I get it...
Hey guys,
Been reading and researching for ages, and have finally got a Rolex. This is a fantastic forum full of great info. I was so close to getting a new Tag Tag Grand Carrerra RS2, my previous 2 watches were also Tags. Then my mate advised me to look at rolex if I was going to spend so much money. One trip to an AD and walked out with a Deep Sea, and having owned it for 3 weeks, wow what a difference in quality, the watch is awesome. I am so happ y with it. I also own a Bell and Ross Commando Ltd edition, which i was stocked to get 004/500 though it hardly gets warn, the Deep sea is so much better then it in almost all regards. I also think I am getting the Rolex bug, I was going to get a Zenith as a more formal watch, but I am now leaning towards a white Daytona. Am I right that Rolex's keep their value much better then most watches? I did heaps of research into Zenith watches, though they do not seem to hold their value , from reading the forums it seems that you cannot go wrong with a SS daytona. |

Yes Rolex retains it's value VERY VERY VERY well!!!! If you want a Zenith and a Daytona so bad why not consider a Zenith movement SS Daytona - get the best of both worlds!!! - Check it out: |

If resale is important to you, then of course Rolex will have an edge over most other brands. And yes, of all watches in Rolex's lineup, it's the S/S Daytona that holds its value the best.
I'm not sure how well Zenith watches hold their value though, it may be that the particular model you're considering is in high demand. Good luck and welcome to TRF! |
