the progression of my rolexitis - just back from recon at the AD

i just joined TRF the other day (after a fair bit of lurking), i've just started summer vacation from grad school, and so i've been able to invest a lot of time in the search for my first rolex.

i want to thank everybody for the advice and support. i took a big step today with a trip to the AD for a bit of research. i had been interested in the beautiful air-king, and it was gorgeous. absolutely stunning, however, i have to admit that 34mm might be just a shade too small on my wrist. it was a bit like seeing a scarlett johansson (or any celebrity, for that matter) in person. she looks stunning in the movies; she still looks stunning in person, but just a little bit smaller than one might expect.

after the AK, i tried out a beautiful 36mm SS DJ. i hadn't orginally been keen on the cyclops, but the whole thing is just beautiful. i'm in love. it doesn't change the way that i feel about the AK (or scarlett), but i think that the DJ is just a better match for me.

i'm interested in older SS models, such as the 16220 or the 16030, but can you fine folks recommend any other models that i should consider?
