More on the clasp code.
This LV that I just picked up had just been shipped in from RUSA to a large AD. It's a V05 serial, we all no that that is not one of the latest serial no's being that it has a V0.
The clasp code is PJ9, that puts the clasp at Sept, 08. What does this all mean? I don't really know off hand. Maybe what Rolex has been pointing to all along. They make parts, then put them all together at some point. This is a rather fast selling watch from a tourist mall that sells watches like this fast and it does not have the newest of numbers. |

It doesn't really mean anything specific..
Lists and codes are just compiled lists by WIS with no input of confirmation from any corroborating source.. It has been known for quite a while that serials, although the prefix can be corralled, are still put in the marketing system in a more or less random fashion... and that several prefixes are produced simultaneously... (Like M and V) These lists are meant to be used for research when you do not have any other information to go by. If you have a sales receipt, or other documents that are, in fact, proof - you don't need to look over a bunch of lists.... It will not make much sense to buy a watch new and with proof......then try to pigeon hole it into a list of guesses and estimates... It gives the false impression that the watch is not, somehow, new.
