US Customs question

Purchased my Submariner in Zurich last month. I clearly declared it on my customs form and I was waived through.

I'm worried that they may review the form at a later date and come after me. Anyone have a similar experience?

Very highly doubt it. If they want something they get it right there on the spot. I bought my PAM in Cancun and I was dumb to claim it. They took forever trying to figure out what to do with me. Wondering how I could afford to have that watch and my TT Rolex Sub which I was wearing. They searched through their books forever trying to figure out what I owed. Some wierd math formula later I paid them by credit card and went on my way.

I really doubt they will send you a bill if they didn't already ask for any duties on the spot.

Customs people know what they're doing. My friend works with Customs. So, you're good.

I would report the error immediately to customs! Go back and demand that you pay!

BTW...

No worries. They would have charged you on the spot. Your lucky, because almost a sure thing that a watch coming into the US from Switzerland will require import tax.
