Sweet Music.
I bought my first Rolex 3 months ago, a V series 16610 Sub, I love wearing this watch, I wear a Casio G-Shock during the day, i'm a heating engineer, so my watches have a pretty rough time during the day, I coudln't wear a good watch as it would be destroyed.
I love coming home, having a shower, getting changed and slipping on my Sub. I come here every night to read the forums, i'm not the most prolific poster here, that's just my personality, but I do post occasionally and enjoy doing so. The time i've been here I haven't heard ayone mention the sound of a Sub movement, in particular the 3135 movement in a Sub. Is there a sweeter sound? The delicate "ting ting ting ting", it's unreal really. Eight times every second, 480 times in every minute, 28800 beats in an hour. Over the course of a week that's 4,838,400 beats. It sounds so delicate when held up against the ear, yet it's so accurate, my watch hasn't lost a second over a week. Long live Rolex, Viva Rolex. |

Fozzy mate I'm in Construction & Waste Management so I know exactly what you're saying!!
I wear a Seiko Monster for work (the classy black one not the tacky orange monstrosity!!) & some days I can't wait to get my GMTIIc on my wrist. .... four weeks from now my cochlear implant gets activated so hopefully I'll come back to you on the "ting ting ting" thing just as soon as I can.....

So now I don't just stare at my watch, but hold it up to my ear!
