Just Regulated

I just had my DJ regulated under warranty by the NY RSC. It was running as much as 9 seconds fast a day. After 5 days now it is a consistent 2 seconds a day which is great. My question is do they take the watch apart when this done or can they regulate it with just the back removed?

Just need to remove the case back and adjust.

Regulation is a very simple process when you have a timing machine, the hardest part is getting the case back off.Regulation should take no longer than 30 minutes and that includes a new case seal and re-pressure check.Consistancy is the most important thing with any mechanical watch, but there could be some slight almost daily deviations with any mechanical movement.

When mine was sent to the NY Service Center for regulating they also did the service on it. I think they do that always from what I understand. They clean, replace certain parts, oil, and regulate.
