rolex precision , curious dating.

I have a nice Rolex Oyster Precision , a 6422. The ref. no. is 202*** which
dates it around 1942-43. I had my watchmaker take the backs of all my watches to photograph all the movements and numbers , then I loaded the images into my computer. On examination of the shots I was surprised to see a
stamped date below 6422.......it is 1V 56......which means the 4th quarter of
1956, doesn't it. Is it likely that case made in 1943 would have a movement
fitted in 1956 ? I've heard of date discrepancies before but this seems extreme.
