Wearing the heck out of my Sub LV at the beach. How about you?

Ok, I realize up front that this post is useless without photos. I promise to take a few tomorrow of the salt-encrusted bracelet and ocean-smudged crystal to prove it!

I'm on annual family vacation and wearing the living dickens out of my Sub LV each and every day. I've been boogie boarding, body boarding, sand castle building, napping in the sun...you name it. The Sub definitely develops some patina as each day winds down, but I just keep it on the wrist and scrub up in the shower to make it sparkle and shine like new!

I worry a little bit having such a nice watch exposed to these crazy days on the beach, but I reckon it was built for this and more. I'm certainly developing some great memories.

Who else rocks theirs on the beach? Let's see some photos and hear your stories.

Regards,
Eric

P.S. Actually, here is a photo from July 1st.

Good looking watch, at first glance it looked like a brand new, late 1970's 1680 vintage Submariner. Guess I have vintage on my mind lately for some reason, enjoy and use the hell out of it!

Good show Eric!!,
Life is short.
Wear that watch and enjoy it.
I test drove my second sub for 11 years which included surfing, scuba, rafting (almost lost it in a class 4 rapid), working on a buddies old Ford truck (scratched the cyclops on that one), mountain biking, sawzalling (yep, just made that word, think home demo), and just about everything else. In the end, never had it serviced (did not need it because it still kept awesome time).
Wound up selling it for what I originally paid for it only to buy an LV later that is on my wrist right now.

Enjoy it. It's your watch.

For some reason, you feel better or different when you wear a Rolex.

I was taking a momentary trip down memory lane and found this thread I started just over a year ago about wearing my beloved Sub LV on the beach.

Well, here it is a year later and I'm wearing the heck out of my Sea Dweller at the beach!

Let's see more photos of Rolex watches on the beach!

This post brings back some memories for myself as well. I remember wearing my Sub on the beach in Hawaii on my honeymoon, and although these things were meant to be beat up, I pamper my watches like mad, so I was hesitant to go all out... I got over it. : )

Here's a pic from a fantastic beach in Kauai.

Oh don't you worry. It is still en force. Note that this is a thread from 2010 and I just bumped it for 2011 with my SD picture. The real test will come in 2012 to see if I can bump this again with the SD.

Wore my sub last weekend in the bay, on the boat, on the waverunners, to the beach, out on the town, in the bars... on and on and on... didn't take any pics though. Guess I have a good excuse to get back down to Stone Harbor.
