Another power reserve test....

OK, so I decided to do this for fun (I have been meaning to do this for ages)....hand wound all my watches, bar one (I had to have one to wear! it was my latest acquisition, my Tudor 79260), giving them all 50 turns of the crown to be sure they were fully wound......set them all at midnight, 11th of the month...and then let them run.....all dial up in my watch box.....so here are the results......a bit surprising actually

2008 SS GMT IIc - 46 hr: 38 min: 26 sec
1997 SS Lady Date - 46 hr: 42 min: 58 sec
2004 SS Explorer II - 47 hr: 22 min: 41 sec
1984 Gold Day Date - 49 hr: 0 min: 59 sec
1986 SS DateJust - 49 hr: 44 min: 59 sec
1988 SS DateJust - 50 hr: 48 min: 34 sec
2004 SS Tudor 79280 - 52 hr: 48 min:47 sec (chrono not running)

So, there we have it, a Tudor chrono beats the rest (chrono not running), with the GMT IIc the worst of the bunch!!!.......as I said, very surprised....

Cheers Leo......I'm halfway through a bottle of Glenfiddich 12 year old so I had to read the dials with one eye.......just kidding....I'm actually three quarters of the way through it!!!!.....but honestly, there you go......Rolex "Flagship" model comes last on the power reserve test....and the "poor relation" comes top dog....who'd have thought it?.....Dan, maybe???

Back to work tomorrow after three glorious weeks at home........ho hum....I have to pay the bills somehow!!!!

Interesting test! Good job Bill, but where is your other Tudor? Oh, yeah, on your wrist!
