Going to Capitol Hill
I learned that I will be in the Capitol Hill part of Washington DC for a few days.
Any watch stores/dealers that I should visit? -Sheldon

It's odd. I can't think of single watch store of note near Capitol Hill. I think there is a Swatch store in Union Station.
There is a Rolex AD (The Tiny Jewel Box) not far from DuPont Circle and Farragut North, but the store isn't near the Hill. This store also carries JLC, Tag, Bedat, and Maurice LaCroix. I think there are a few other brands as well. The watches are on the 3rd floor. The selection is not huge, but the main watch salesman, Jorge, is very knowledgeable and pleasant. Just FYI, if you like pens (as I know some do here), there is really nice pen store, Fahrney's Pens, at 13 & F. |

As stated, basically there are no interesting watch stores in downtown DC, especially not in the Capitol Hill area (Tiny Jewel box is rather small). If you want to see something more interesting I'd make it out to Liljenquist & Beckstead in Tyson's Corner II (Rolex, PP, JLC, IWC, Panerai, Breitling, Cartier, Omega etc) or to Lenkersdorfer, which carriers pretty much the same brands but also the only AP outlet around here).
Nice selections, but nothing that will blow you away and discounts are hard to come by. |

DC's kind of a lame town for watches, but there are some other things to look at. If you are on the Hill you can walk to all of the museums and stuff.
