Explorer II for Service (NYC)

Dear all,

I haven't posted much, as the last few posts by me were debating whether I should purchase an Explorer II (white) vs the Omega Speedmaster.

I chose the Explorer II. It was a "K", or 2001 year model purchased pre-owned and locally, with papers, box, etc. It was running about +4 seconds a day, but I decided since it did not have a previous service history, I should bring it in for service.

NYC RSC treated me very nicely, but $605 for a factory service is quite a dent in my wallet!

Now my wrist feels naked, since the watch never left my wrist since purchased... It's going to be a long 4-week wait!

Would love to hear some of your service stories.
