Did your sticker fall off?

If you left the sticker on your watch, what eventually happened to it?

Did it fall off?

Did it slowly wear away?

How long did it last?

I pealed it off my first rolex. The next one I'd like to try to preserve. Maybe clear tape over it. If you tried to save the sticker, how did you do it? Did it work?

my sticker finally just fell off...it was sliding and sliding until it was ready to just come off...and then with my thumb i removed the little bit of adhesive that was sticky to the back of the watch...

Id definately wish it was permanent...I love the sticker on the back....

Oh and my sticker lasted about 5 months.

Icon17 Still There

I BOUGHT MY GMT IN SEPT 2005 AND I HAVE WORN IT EVERYDAY SINCE. THE STICKER IS STILL THERE...A LITTLE. I'M SURPRISED IT IS ACTUALLY. THAT IS ONE OF THE SMALL PLEASURES OF BUYING A BRAND NEW ROLEX. CALL ME WEIRD BUT I LIKE WATCHING THE PROGRESS OF THE DETERIORATION OF THE STICKER! LET'S HEAR SOME STICKER HISTORY WITH PICS!

I keep all the original clear sticker over the holo. All my past rolexs had the clear over holo so the hologram was well preserved

Mine has been on for 6 months of daily wear. The only holgraphic part of the sticker is in the center. But it's all still there.

I took it off on my first Sub back in the early 90's. I arbitrarily left it on as a 'scratch protector' for my '01 Explorer. Until recently, I wore that watch every day through swimming, showers, work and sleep. It's still on there. Downside... If I tried to remove it now, I'm sure it would be a bugger.

I took the sticker off of my SS Sub, but I have left the sticker on my new TT Sub.

A watch is a watch. If you want to keep mint for resale, brand new, never worn at some point in the future, you should leave the hologram on and put it in a safety deposit box. If you want to actually wear and enjoy it, get rid of the sticker and wear the watch. If the hologram is important to you, peel it off and stick it onto the warranty paper.

Btw, it's been discussed that leaving the hologram on might accelerate caseback corrosion due to trapped moisture under the sticker.

My GMT II sticker came off after about three months of wear. My SD sticker was able to be pushed off (using thumbs sliding the sticker sideways) in its entirety (dont stop or else part of the hologram will stay on the watch back).

Ditto, Steve!! Now shall we go find ourselves a room and leave the rest of these tossers in peace?

I've had my 16610 for a couple weeks. First I cut the rectangular clear plastic over the hologram to a circle just larger to protect it. Then yesterday I decided I wanted to save it and stick it to the paperwork as some here have suggested. When I tried to peel it off it left most of the green on the caseback so now I have a polka dot holo.

I've worn my TTDJ for about 4 years and the hologram is still intact. I can no longer see the numbers....but..it's still there. Didn't want to save it, didn't want to take it off.
