5513 query
This listing is for an 8M serial 5513.
the first picture is my 8M 5513. the second is the listed watch. my query is that the listed watch the "Submariner" is shorter than the depth rating, has open 6's and T Swiss T. Mine is completely the reverse, ie "Submariner" is wider, closed 6's and Swiss T < 25. A service dial is unlikely on a watch this age and the seller claims it is original, but I guess possible if a flooding has occured. IMO the coronet on the listed dial looks off, also the bezel insert font does not look correct. The plots are also touching the five minute markers which is unusual. any thoughts?? http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Submariner...ht_5899wt_1124 |

At best the dial has been poorly redone.
