Well hello there!

I have a little dilemma here, i am absolutely torn between an Explorer 1 (39mm) and a Explorer 2. I have looked at both at my AD (well the 36mm since the 39mm isnt in yet) and i really cant make up my mind. there are so many great points to both, the white dial, extra hand and date are very nice on the expl 2, however i do like the class and simplicity of the expl.1.

I know there's been criticism on the new expl 1 and the non-lumineciant 3-6-9 however i quite like it, in fact i wish the 12'oclock was non-lum as well. i do agree that the hands should have been enlarged to suit the new watch but not a deal breaker for me.

The expl 2 is a fantastic looking watch as well, and does offer a few more features than the expl.1.

so all i can say is i am torn, what have you guys/gals done to "decide" when faced with this dilemma? Being my first rolex, i am very indecisive...any help would be appreciated.

The 39mm looks like it will be a great size - it's very sleek and has a nice low profile.

I'm also a big fan of the white dial Expy-II.

It's a tough call - I'd say wait until you can try both on. You'll know right away :)

I prefer the Explorer II because of the ability to track a second time zone (I use it for work). But for design alone, the Explorer's simplicity is hard to dismiss.

Good luck, you can't go wrong with either IMO.

Im so disappointed in you Jib, you know the late night enabler crowd always recommends to get both!!!

Exp II is more functional and posses very elegant design. Exp I is nice, no question, but if simplicity is the point, then it can not compete with the 14060 Submariner no date. Use either of them in good health.

Personaly,the EXP II is my choice,but we all have our own views......Try them both and see what signs the most!!!

Get the explorer II. It looks more current, i think.

Ok,I'll admit it.....I like to enable as much as others enable me....

and this site is famous for it!!!
I'm actually going to my AD tomorrow to pick up my SD from its long awaited service...I'm excited,and scared!!

Of what might happen there....Could another watch come home as well??? We shall see........

I agree with Jayo here, if you are desparate to buy now, go for the Explorer 1 but if you can wait for the new Explorer 2, i think it will be worth it. Anyway they both look good, so try them both on, and see which looks the best on your wrist, and then buy both of them.
