Day Date Query about double quick set
hi guys,
my father is eyeing a pre-own date date watch? Would it be better if we get the double quick set instead the single quick set movement? The price difference here in Manila for the model would be $2000 to $2500. BTW, I saw one selling at approximately $10,000.00 for the (1997) double quick set model. ($1 to PHP50.00) |

I would definitely go for the double quickset. I has the current model movement cal. 3155 that has been around since 1989.
A local watchmaker has told me he has some troubles with the single quickset in relation to the setup of the dial and the movement. The double quickset, is a breeze to set. A friend of mine has the single quickset, and says he wished he had the double quickset, although his watch still never misses a beat. In the end it's up to you. |

If you're going to keep the watch long term and/or you won't wear it all the time, I would definitely spend the extra money and get the double-quick.
I have a double-quick which I don't wear very often, and it is very easy to set. As Steve said above, it also has the newer movement. John. |
