Why does GMT retail LOWER than a Sub?

SS models of course... And before any discounts

$5175 for the sub $5075 for the GMT... I just never understood why

I would guess the GMT feature would cost a bit more. I then thought perhaps the Sub can be submerged in water deeper than a GMT?
If my speculations are correct and the two watches are identical (except for the 4th hand) Then why should someone be charged more for a Sub?

Then again Im still learning all of the details of these fine fine watches, And my curiousity is really getting to me
