Is this a special cat? stowaway in our garage

I've had a stow-away in our garage for the past few days. Is this any sort of exotic mix? Looks like a safari mix.

Appears young, very timid, and hungry as hell! Ate a full bowl of our domestic cat's "designer" food in one sitting, then scantered back under the lawnmower and into the lawnmower bag to sleep.

Here's a pic.

Hopefully we find the owner soon. We posted up some pics on our neighborhood website.... of course the wife is starting to name it :)

Well you fed it it's yours now. Once you feed a stray cat it will never leave. It will stay where the food is.

If the cat ate that fast it must be quite hungry.. may not have eaten in awhile.

Poor thing, but nice it found someone kind to give it a little bit of food and shelter while the owner (if there is one) is looked for!

LOL....yeah well somehow he knew where to come....... food, water, and a safe place to stay..... hopefullly a neighbor pipes up looking for their little fur ball.

....... he is a cute little thing...... we'll see what becomes of this :)

Funny thing I've been wondering where this cra# has been coming from on my jetski hood all week....... I was fearing an awefully big rat had camped out in the garage to leave scat like that....... relieved to know it's no big rat...... just a little cat.

We stuck a litter box out there too..... see if this little guy is potty trained...... he seems docile enough.

##

He's welcome to stay as long as he keeps the field mouse population in check.
I have noticed a drop in gecko's around the doorway.... he had to be eating something all week?

I think it's great that you're taking care of that cat and seeing to it that it's fed and safe. You may as well name her because she ain't leaving. LOL
We took in a stray neighborhood cat a few years ago. By the way she was eating I could tell she was malnourished and had some catching up to do. She was about 1 year old and pretty tame like she's never been hurt, which was good but so skinny, like she hadn't eaten in weeks. We fed her and gradually introduced her to our yard and then to our home. We didn't know if she was going to stay with us or not but we took her to the vet and had her spayed anyway. Well I guess she likes it here because even though she still goes outside, she stays close. Funny thing is she checks periodically throughout the day that her food bowl is never empty. She's been hungry before and remembers.
Good luck with your new pet.

That is really great of you.

I adopted a cat when I was very VERY young (I was no more than 3) who was a Christmas kitten abandoned to the shelter when she wasn't wanted anymore. She had been abused a little and was very timid when we got her but I used to lay on the ground watching her under the couch until she would come out to eat. She bonded to me and then would sleep on my bed with me every night. I even took her with me as soon as I could when I went off to University and got my own place.

I had to say good bye to her last year after 22 years. Moral of the story is that kindness and love to an animal in need is never anything but a reward.
