Milgauss GV, Rolex's Flagship?

I saw a Rolex ad in a magazine and the watch pictured in the ad was the Milgauss GV. Then driving to the airport I saw a billboard ad for the local AD and again the watch was the Milgauss GV. It just photograph well.

I don't think its the flagship at all, but its definitely the most unique!

You either love it or hate it, OR it grows on you then you LOVE it!

I agree - not a flagship, prefer it to be a sleeper

Love it, hate it. I love mine when the light hits the green (my favourite colour)

Got the bracelet boxed away and keeping the polished SELs and links sparkling too.

It definitely does grow on people.

I recall seeing it in magazines and I was like - ugh... ugly.

Then I saw it in person and I was like - WOW!

Then I saw it on my wrist - I was like DOUBLE WOW!

It is defiantly a love or hate watch. I love mine because it looks so unique. I haven't had anyone recognize it as a Rolex yet.

Did you see the post where one guy had a lady at Macy's say "I'm pretty sure Rolex never made a watch with an orange bolt."

I saw that. The general public only seem the recognize the Sub, GMT and DateJast TT.

I think the GV is nice and all but definitely not a flagship. I would think their flagships are the Datejust and Day-Dates. They're easily the most recognizable even among non-rolex wearers and they've been around for over 50 years. I have yet to see a Milgauss ad here in NY. Most of the billboard ads I see around here are for the higher end ones like the masterpiece, day-dates and 36mm datejust with the flowery dial.

Back in Chicago, a lot of the big ad boards on high ways and high traffic roads feature the Milgauss GV. Just saying, it may not be a flagship, but I'm thinking there is a reason why the AD in Chicago chose the Milgauss...

Not a flagship, but as a previous poster stated, it does photograph well. I love mine.

Definitely a watch you have to see in the flesh.

I wasn't crazy about it in pics, but on my wrist I was tempted to 'make a run for it'
