Explorer 2 question

Greetings, I had a quick question. I have a new Explorer 2 watch and was looking for the Rolex etching symbol on the crystal. I was using a magnifying glass and could not find it. I thought all the new Roles's had that. Am I incorrect, and where can I find it if it is there?

Thanks, Ron

Depends on year. Started in 2003 I think. Also make sure you are shining flashlight on it.

Ron, if you have a white faced Exp II? it will be difficult to find with a regular magnifying glass as I found.

The etched crown should/will be located at the base of the six o'clock mark, looking at the crystal from the six o'clock mark at about a 30-40 deg angle , with a light source coming in from the 12 o'clock mark position, using preferably a loupe or something stronger than a regular magnifying glass, you will after a little trail and error find your etched crown.

Good hunting

Hi Ron - you just need to get the right angle of light on it - have a play around under different light sources...

If you bought from a reliable source and your watch is new it will be there but hardly worth the bother straining your eyes to find.

Shine a bright light(torch, lamp or laser pointer)from 12 to 6 o'clock, and looking from the 6 o'clock and angle the watch back and forth...It should pop out at you!@!

I use a led flashlight and a jewelers loupe.
